What you'll haul
- Goods and materials moving between customer sites or distribution points in the Lower Mainland and around Seattle
What the job involves
- Running your assigned route in a company truck, handling pickups and deliveries correctly
- Doing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, flagging any mechanical problems, and keeping your paperwork up to date
- Loading, unloading and securing freight properly
- Verifying shipment paperwork and staying in touch about any delays or route changes
- Keeping the truck clean and following safety rules
Requirements
- A safe, reliable driving record and solid trip planning ability
- Physical capability to lift and handle freight safely
- Carefulness with cargo, documentation and the condition of the vehicle
- Good communication skills and reliable timekeeping
