Our company is hiring a truck driver based in Acton, ON. The work is on the road, includes cross-border and overnight trips, and pays $37.00 per hour.
Pay and hours
- $37.00 per hour
- Expect roughly 30 to 40 hours a week
What you'll do
- Drive straight or articulated trucks hauling goods and materials
- Adjust your route as conditions change, using GPS or other navigation tools, to save fuel and cut emissions
- Load and unload freight
- Inspect the truck before, during and after each trip, including tires, lights, brakes and cold storage equipment
- Handle preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs
- Keep dispatch informed and record cargo details, hours of service, distance and fuel use
Requirements
- A valid driver's licence
- Willingness to cross the border, stay out overnight and be away for extended periods
