About this job
Our company Freight Systems is hiring full-time, year-round DZ drivers for cross-border expedite runs out of its Newmarket yard. The work is strictly cross-border with no local runs, and you need to be able to spend up to 5 of any 7 days away from home.
Pay
- $1,200 to $1,500 a week
- A bonus program rewards strong drivers; no amount is given
Schedule
- Away from home up to 5 days out of any 7
- Night driving is part of the job
What you'll do
- Inspect your vehicle before and after each trip
- Follow both Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service rules
- Keep your electronic logs accurate and up to date
- Stay in regular contact with dispatch and drive safely and reliably
Requirements
- 2 years of commercial driving; cross-border experience is preferred
- A valid passport
- A clean CVOR and driver abstract
- Solid knowledge of US and Canadian HOS rules, plus ELD experience
- Age 25 or older
- Strong written and spoken English
- Your own safety gear: boots, vest and hard hat
- DZ licence preferred
