Crane Truck Driver — $35.00-$45.00/hr

Our company in North Cowichan, BC needs a crane truck driver to haul and lift precast concrete pieces between the yard and job sites. You'll run a crane-equipped heavy truck and handle rigging and securement so loads travel and lift safely.

What you'll do

• Load, unload and transport precast concrete pieces using a crane-equipped truck

• Check the truck and crane before each run to confirm everything is safe and working

• Rig and tie down loads so nothing shifts in transit

• Work with crews on site to keep loading and unloading moving smoothly

• Handle basic upkeep like checking fluids and flagging any mechanical problems

• Keep records of your deliveries, inspections and maintenance work

• Stick to traffic laws and safety rules while driving and operating the crane

Requirements

• Commercial driving experience and a valid CDL

• Valid Level 1 B.C. Crane Ticket

• Solid understanding of cranes, forklifts and other heavy equipment

• Comfortable running a forklift to move freight

• Know-how in securing and handling freight

• Able to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues yourself

• Clean driving history and a commitment to following transport regulations

• Able to communicate clearly with coworkers and site staff

• Physically able to manage heavy loads, do inspections and work outdoors in any weather
