Class 5A Driver

Our company in Chemainus, BC is looking for a Class 5A Driver to collect, haul and handle waste materials at client sites. You'll need a clean driving history, solid work ethic and a willingness to work as part of a team while representing the company professionally.

What you'll do

• Drive and inspect assigned trucks and equipment, making sure everything is loaded and maintained properly

• Act as the face of the company at client locations, building good relationships and spotting chances to grow business

• Keep accurate records of hours worked, miles driven and materials hauled, in line with company and legal rules

• Join daily safety briefings, hazard assessments and risk checks to help keep the workplace incident-free

• Stay in regular contact with dispatch, supervisors and coworkers to keep operations running smoothly

• Handle other duties as needed

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 license with Air Brakes endorsement and a clean commercial driving record

• Manual transmission experience is a plus, not required

• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, for dealing with customers

• Self-starter who stays calm under pressure and can juggle tasks independently

• Comfortable working outdoors in any weather, with the physical ability to lift 75+ lbs
