Class 5 Truck Driver — No Overnight, Saskatoon, SK

Our company in Saskatoon needs a Class 5 driver to run a 3-ton truck on local, same-day routes. You'll be the face of the company to customers, handling deliveries and some warehouse tasks.

What you'll do

• Drive daily routes with no overnight stays, though hours can vary and some overtime is expected

• Fill out daily logbooks per Saskatchewan rules, plus pre-trip and monthly inspection paperwork

• Arrange vehicle servicing and repairs, getting quotes and timelines as needed

• Keep the truck stocked with consumables and cleaning supplies, flagging the Lead-Hand when stock runs low

• Handle bills of lading and shipping manifests

• Keep the truck washed and clean using pressure washers and hand cleaners

• Help load and unload trucks and process paperwork for materials coming in and out

• Pitch in on keeping the truck bay, equipment and property in order

• Take on other tasks assigned by the Warehouse Lead Hand

• Work well with the team and report to the Operations Manager and Branch Manager

Requirements

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 license with at least two years behind the wheel

• Clean five-year driver's abstract you can provide on request

• Valid forklift license

• Solid verbal and written communication skills

• Comfortable with basic computer work and detail-oriented

• Warehouse or shipping/receiving background preferred

• Steel-toe boots at least 6 inches high (steel-toe shoes won't work)

• Good grasp of the National Safety Code for Motor Carriers

• Able to make decisions, solve problems and work independently
