About this job
Manitoulin Transport needs a Class 5 driver in High Level, AB to handle local pickup and delivery freight using a 5-ton truck. You'll work mostly Monday to Friday with an occasional Saturday, starting your shift at 7:00 am on the dock.
What you'll do
- Load and unload freight for a range of customers, using a wheeler, pallet jack, and tailgate as needed
- Scan freight with a handheld device and note any shortages or damage
- Load outbound trucks, complete your deliveries and pickups, then return to the dock to finish loading freight for the next day
- Stay flexible with your schedule to accommodate customer needs
Pay
- Starting wage of $27.14 per hour
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 license
- At least 1 year of experience in city pickup and delivery
- Physically able to handle the demands of the job
- Dependable and reliable
- Experience with electronic logging devices, handheld scanners, TDG, WHMIS, or forklift operation is a plus, though not required
- Able to pass a criminal record check, provide a driver's abstract, and supply 2 work-related references
