About this job
Our company is looking for a Class 3/1 Operator to join its Vacuum Truck Services team in Chemainus, BC. You'll handle spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading and hauling of fluids and materials for clients, working safely and professionally as part of a team.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Home every night, with occasional overnight stays
What you'll do
- Safely operate vacuum equipment on industrial sites
- Represent GFL professionally while delivering strong service to clients
- Complete pre-trip inspections and driver logs to meet NSC requirements
- Keep thorough, accurate paperwork for all work performed
- Take part in safety activities like job hazard assessments
Requirements
- Valid Class 3A driver's license with a reasonably clean commercial driver's abstract
- Class 1 license is an asset
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Vacuum truck or B-train experience is a plus
- Safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR, CSTS, TDG, or H2S Alive are an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Safety-minded, comfortable in an industrial work setting
- Good health and physical condition for the physical demands of the job
