About this job
Our company is looking for a Vacuum Truck Operator in Saskatoon, SK to join its Vacuum Truck Services team, handling spill cleanup and the loading and hauling of various fluids and materials. The role includes evening and weekend shifts, so flexibility outside normal daytime hours is needed.
What you'll do
- Operate vacuum equipment safely in industrial settings
- Carry out spill cleanup and transport of fluids and materials
- Complete pre-trip inspections and driver logs to meet NSC standards
- Keep thorough records of completed work
- Take part in safety meetings, near-miss reporting and hazard assessments
- Work independently while managing your schedule and communicating with the team
- Handle basic maintenance on your unit as needed
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience operating an industrial vacuum truck
- Valid Class 3 license with air brakes and a clean commercial driver's abstract (Class 1 with air brakes is a plus)
- Manual transmission skills are a plus
- First Aid/CPR, CSTS, TDG and H2S Alive certifications are a plus
- Good physical health to handle the job's demands
- Available for after-hours calls and occasional short-term travel with overnight stays
