Class 3 Hybrid Route Driver — Medical Waste & Shred-It, Moncton NB

WM is hiring a Hybrid Route Driver in Moncton, NB to cover medical waste and document destruction (Shred-It) routes when regular team members are off, including some remote transfer locations. You'll be the face of the company for clients, handling pickups safely and on schedule.

Pay

• $26.40 per hour

Schedule

• Monday to Friday

• Start time of 5:30 AM or 6 AM

What you'll do

• Collect and transport medical waste or confidential documents for destruction, on-site or off-site

• Follow all federal, provincial and local rules for handling and transporting waste

• Review manifests, route sheets and prior vehicle condition reports to plan your day

• Load and stock your truck as needed for the accounts you're covering

• Confirm customers have packaged waste correctly before you take it

• Keep customers informed and flag any issues (re-routes, container changes, etc.) to your supervisor or dispatcher

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and report any maintenance issues

• Keep accurate, legible paperwork, including DOT driver logs where required

• Secure all collected documents and containers, using a hand-held device to track barcodes and locations

• Communicate route changes or customer problems to your supervisor or dispatcher before end of day

• Take on other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Class 3 commercial driver's license

• At least 3 years of driving experience, ideally in trucks and box trucks

• Must be 21 or older

• Able to read, write and speak English well enough to deal with the public, understand traffic signs, and complete reports

• Able to obtain a medical card from a certified medical examiner

• May need certain immunizations or credentials depending on the customer

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required

This is a safety-sensitive role, so you'll need to follow all safety protocols and may be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment, random, post-incident and reasonable-suspicion checks.

The job involves standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking and hearing, and takes place both indoors (garage, shop or plant settings) and outdoors in all weather.
