About this job
Our company needs a Class 3 driver in Deroche, BC to deliver fuel to retail locations, marinas, and other commercial accounts. The schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday with early morning starts, and you should expect regular overtime and weekend shifts.
What you'll haul
- Petroleum products and fuel, classified as dangerous goods, delivered to marinas, retail outlets, and commercial customers
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments and apply correct placarding under dangerous goods rules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and handle minor repairs on the road
- Maintain accurate trip logs, bills of lading, and inspection paperwork
- Stay in contact with dispatch and clients, flagging any mechanical trouble or delivery problems
- Keep the truck clean and greased, and service tire chains when needed
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 license
- High school diploma
- A minimum of 2 years hauling fuel specifically
- A minimum of 3 years behind the wheel in a Class 3 role
- Solid written and spoken communication skills, plus comfort using email and MS Office
Schedule
- Tuesday through Saturday, with early start times; overtime and weekend shifts are part of the job
