About this job
The our company is hiring a Truck Driver 2 to join its Engineering Operations team on a 6-month union term position. You'll drive a tandem axle truck fitted with seasonal attachments and help with routine construction and maintenance work.
Pay
- $38.64 per hour, 40 hours per week
What you'll do
- Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment in varying traffic and road conditions
- Perform pre-trip inspections (oil, fuel, tires, lights, lubrication, safety checks)
- Operate attachments like plows, sanders, side delivery conveyors, and water tanks
- Keep records of fuel use and mileage
- Help crew members with assigned tasks and respond to public inquiries
- Safely operate a dump truck
Requirements
- Completion of Grade 12
- Experience driving air brake equipped trucks
- Valid Class 3 B.C. driver's license with air brake endorsement
- Safe driving record
- Dump truck experience is an asset
