Class 3 Delivery Driver — $20.00/hr, Vancouver Island Routes

Our company, the largest independent two-step hardware and building supply distributor in Western Canada, needs a Delivery Driver based in Nanaimo, BC. You'll split your time between driving, warehouse duties and physical lifting, which can work well if you're easing into semi-retirement.

Pay

• $20.00 per hour

• 34-40 hours per week expected

• A signing bonus is offered (amount not specified)

What you'll haul

• Hardware and building supplies, moved in a 5-ton truck

• Deliveries around Vancouver Island, with 1-2 runs per week to the lower-mainland warehouse

What the job involves

• Driving delivery trucks safely to customers

• Loading and unloading goods, handled and stored the right way

• Logging deliveries and mileage accurately

• Doing routine checks and basic upkeep on your vehicle

• Pitching in on general warehouse and yard work

• Teaming up with warehouse staff during load-in and load-out

Requirements

• Class 3 license, with hands-on experience operating 5-ton trucks

• A clean record behind the wheel

• Prior experience delivering on Vancouver Island

• Confidence planning routes and completing pre- and post-trip inspections

• Physically able to lift and carry heavy loads

• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

• Forklift experience is an asset
