Class 2 Part-Time School Bus Driver — $26.25/hr, No Nights/Weekends

Our company needs part-time school bus drivers to cover routes in the Surrey and Coquitlam area. You'll handle a morning pickup and an afternoon drop-off for students, Monday to Friday, with no experience required since full training is provided.

Pay

• $26.25 per hour, with exact pay depending on your experience and qualifications

• At least 4 paid hours guaranteed each working day

• Possible safety and/or attendance bonuses (conditions apply, ask your location for details)

Schedule

• One morning run and one afternoon run, Monday through Friday

• No nights, weekends, holidays or summer work

• Extra hours may be available for field trips and special events

What you'll do

• Get students safely to and from school and activities

• Help with boarding and exiting the bus, including seatbelts and mobility aids

• Keep order onboard so students stay safe and focused

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks of brakes, lights, tires and emergency exits

• Flag any mechanical problems and keep your bus clean

• Follow traffic laws and company safety rules

• Stay in touch with parents, school staff and dispatch about delays or student issues

Requirements

• Minimum age 21

• Class 2 driver's license held for at least 1 year

• Comfortable working with kids

• Open to a part-time schedule with summers off

Good background to have

• A valid commercial license

• Experience driving for rideshare or taxi services

• Past work as a teacher, commercial driver, social worker, classroom aide, hospitality worker, or in customer service or retail
