Our company, a family-owned company celebrating 87 years in business, needs a Class 1A driver for daytime runs around Saskatoon, SK. The job covers short-haul work across Saskatchewan plus city routes, and you'll be home every night. Pay starts at $23.00 per hour.
Pay
- $23.00 per hour
Home time
- Daily, roughly 7am-5pm shifts, Monday through Friday
What you'll haul
- A mix of freight for pickup and delivery in the city and surrounding area
- Occasional loads of hazardous products and dangerous goods
What the job involves
- Getting freight to customers promptly and professionally
- Lending a hand with loading and unloading
- Keeping up with paperwork: logbooks, bills of lading, inspection forms
- Running pre-trip and post-trip checks, including brake adjustments
- Mapping out your route and staying in touch with dispatch
Requirements
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 1A license and a clean abstract
- Current Saskatchewan resident (this role is not LMIA certified)
- Minimum 1 year behind the wheel with a manual transmission
- Comfortable lifting as much as 50 lbs
- Solid spoken English and a customer-friendly manner
