Class 1 Truck Driver — Scrap Metal Hauling, Kelowna BC

Our company in Kelowna, BC is looking for a Class 1 truck driver to move scrap metal between sites. Most runs are to and from the Kelowna yard, with occasional trips to other ABC locations and partner companies.

What you'll haul

• Scrap metal, using roll-off trucks, dump trucks and body jobs

• Some loads involve self-loading cranes (Hiab) or a thumb and bucket for occasional off-site loading

What you'll do

• Check your truck before and after each trip

• Secure loads properly and follow standard safety practices for commercial drivers

• Deal with customers professionally

• Follow dispatch instructions promptly

• Keep accurate daily logs and reports

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with air brakes

• 3 to 4 years of driving experience

• Clean driving record

• Roll-off, dump truck or body job experience preferred

• Hiab or self-loading crane experience is a plus

• Background in scrap metal recycling or demolition is a plus
