About this job
Our company in Victoria, BC needs a truck driver to run a set weekly route between Victoria and the lower mainland, plus handle some local and yard work. This is a permanent, part-time position at 2 days a week.
The route
- You take the 7am ferry over, pick up freight at as many as 8 vendors to fill the load, then catch the ferry back (departures run between 3pm and 5pm) to Victoria.
- Depending on how much freight there is, you could be driving a semi, a 9-tonne truck, or a 3-tonne truck.
- On the other days, expect local delivery runs and odd jobs around the yard.
Schedule
- Two days per week.
Pay
- $30.00 to $32.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- References.
- Previous experience in the industry.
