Our company Ltd in Argentia, NL is looking for an experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to haul freight across the island. You'll need a solid safety record and be comfortable handling cargo from pickup to delivery.

What you'll do
- Drive trucks to deliver freight to assigned destinations on schedule
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load and unload cargo and containers with care
- Keep accurate ELOG records of hours, mileage and fuel use
- Stay in contact with dispatch about delivery timing and any issues on the road
- Handle basic truck repairs and maintenance when needed
- Run forklifts or other heavy equipment for loading and unloading when required
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class 1)
- 3 years of Canadian driving experience, including winter conditions, with references
- Clean driving abstract
- Knowledge of safety rules and best practices for hauling freight
- Container handling experience is preferred
- Basic truck or auto repair skills are a plus
- Port experience is an asset
