Class 1 Truck Driver (Manual) — From $33.00/hr

This role is with a logistics and recycling company that's been serving the Saanich, Victoria, and Westshore areas since 2000, focused on sustainable waste management. You'll haul materials throughout Greater Victoria, the Cowichan Valley, and the Gulf Islands as the business continues to grow.

Pay

• From $33.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• End dump and walking floor trucks, moving materials to and from sites across southern and mid Vancouver Island

What you'll do

• Run your assigned routes on schedule while staying compliant with safety rules

• Manage deliveries and log real-time data through dispatch software on a mobile device

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle

• Flag any mechanical problems to the Fleet, Transportation, and Logistics Manager right away

• Keep required logs and paperwork up to date

• Follow WCB rules and all other safety protocols

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with manual transmission training

• Clean, safe driving history

• Comfortable with dispatch software and mobile devices for managing routes

• Able to handle long hours seated and occasional heavy lifting

• Experience with 53-foot trailers is a plus

• Must be available Saturdays, with weekday time off offered in exchange
