Class 1 Truck Driver — From $25.00/hr

Our company is hiring a Class 1 truck driver for their Hadashville, MB location, hauling heavy building materials for clients in manufacturing, mining, construction and retail.

Pay

• Starting at $25.00 per hour, based on experience

What you'll do

• Check loaded trucks for correct orders, proper weight and secure loads

• Carry out required pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections

• Operate your rig safely and confirm each delivery site is safe before unloading

• Follow all company rules, DOT regulations and safety procedures, including wearing the required safety gear

• Keep your logs and delivery paperwork accurate and current

• Watch for mechanical problems and report them right away

• Stay in regular contact with dispatch and the office about your deliveries

• Flag any hazards, damage or injuries at a delivery site immediately and call for medical help if needed

• Treat customers professionally with clear, respectful communication

• Learn the company's products and services over time

• Take on other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 licence with air brake endorsement (AZ licence)

• Clean driving record and a strong safety mindset

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Dependable, works well with others, and communicates clearly with customers

• Reads, speaks and writes English

• Experience hauling building products is a plus

• At least 2 years operating a Class 8 truck/trailer
