Class 1 Truck Driver — $9,000–$11,000/Month, Western Canada

Our company hauls specialized freight for the oil and gas sector across Western Canada and beyond, including frac sand, sulphur, chemicals, cryogenics and bulk commodities. They're looking for Class 1 drivers to join their team, with rotational work that involves time away from home.

Pay and earnings

• Gross monthly earning potential of $9,000.00-$11,000.00

• Steady, year-round work with flexible rotations depending on operations

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailer combinations, including Super Bs

• Frac sand, sulphur, chemicals, fuel, petroleum and other bulk products

• Loads move on highways, resource roads and industrial sites, sometimes in remote or off-highway areas

• You may load, unload, secure cargo, chain up in winter conditions and work in mountain terrain

• Daily tasks include electronic logging, documentation and staying in touch with dispatch and customer sites

Schedule and lifestyle

• This is rotational work, not a home-nightly role. Expect travel, night shifts, remote locations and stretches away from home, with in-truck resets depending on the project

• If you need to be home every night, this position isn't a match

What they're looking for

• Valid Class 1 driver's licence with commercial driving experience behind it

• A clean-ish, current driver's abstract and a solid safety track record

• Confidence driving in changing weather and road conditions, including chaining, climbing and outdoor work

• Comfort with smartphones, e-logs and mobile apps

• First Aid and H2S Alive certifications, or willingness to get certified

• A professional, open-to-learning mindset

Experience with Super Bs, tankers, pneumatic trailers, oilfield work, dump trucks, flat decks, highway hauling, agriculture, heavy equipment or manual transmissions will stand out, but you don't need all of it. Drivers from highway, dump, ag or flat deck backgrounds are welcome to reach out even without specialized experience; Bizi provides training where needed.
