Class 1 Truck Driver — $36–$44/hr

Our company in Fort St. John, BC is looking for a Class 1 truck driver to run box trucks, end dumps, vac trucks, water trucks and tankers. You'll haul freight to job sites while keeping safety and reliability front and center.

Pay

• $36.00-$44.00 per hour

• Expected hours: 40.0-60.0 per week

What you'll haul

• Freight across a mix of equipment types: box trucks, end dumps, vac trucks, water trucks and tankers

What you'll do

• Drive trucks safely and legally to get loads where they need to go

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

• Stay in touch with dispatch throughout your shift and lend a hand to coworkers on site

• Handle basic maintenance tasks and flag mechanical problems before they become bigger issues

• Help troubleshoot or make small repairs, giving mechanics clear info if something goes wrong

• Fill out daily safety forms and take part in weekly and monthly safety meetings

• Have a smartphone able to run the company's apps

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with a clean record

• Background in commercial driving or freight hauling

• Comfortable with basic vehicle repairs and routine inspections

• Solid grasp of safety rules and transportation compliance

• Good communicator who can solve problems on the fly
