Class 1 Truck Driver — $300/Day

Our company in Kelowna is looking for a reliable, hardworking driver to run an overnight freight route in a 53ft box trailer. New drivers are welcome to apply.

Pay

• $300.00 per day

What you'll haul

• You'll pull a 53ft box trailer starting around 8:30pm from Kelowna, heading to Vernon, back to Kelowna, out to Vernon a second time, then on to Kamloops before returning to Kelowna

Responsibilities

• Operate the truck safely to get freight to each stop

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

• Load and unload freight, using a forklift when it helps

• Stay in contact with dispatch about routes, timing and any issues on the road

• Make sure cargo is properly strapped down for the trip

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license

• At least 2 years of winter driving experience

• Comfortable putting on tire chains

• Clean driver's abstract with no suspensions

• Able to provide a job reference

• Forklift experience is a bonus

• A dependable, trustworthy, independent attitude and willingness to learn
