Class 1 Truck Driver — $30–$33/hr + Bonus

Our company is hiring a Class 1 truck driver in Burnaby, BC to deliver quartz slabs safely and provide strong customer service on a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional overtime.

Pay

• $30 to $33 per hour, plus a bonus

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

• Overtime as needed, including possible weekend work

What you'll haul

• Quartz slabs, using a power unit equipped with manual or automatic multi-speed transmission, including Super B configurations

Responsibilities

• Inspect the truck's mechanical, safety and emergency systems before, during and after each trip

• Keep driver logs and paperwork current using electronic logging devices

• Build strong working relationships with customers and coworkers

• Help material handlers load orders and keep the truck road-ready

• Follow Ministry of Transportation, Highway Traffic Act and DOT rules

• Handle physical tasks such as lifting over 50 lbs and securing loads

Requirements

• Valid Class 1/A/Z driver's license

• At least 5 years of verifiable truck driving experience

• No driving-related criminal convictions in the last 36 months

• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 12 months, or 3 in the last 36 months

• Defensive Driving Course completed

• Strong mechanical know-how for routine vehicle upkeep

• Comfortable with computers and well organized under tight deadlines
