Class 1 TEAM Owner Operator — Cross Border, 5000+ Miles/Week

Our company is looking for a Class 1 TEAM owner operator to run cross-border freight between Canada and the US, starting out of Vancouver, BC, with weekly mileage of 5000+ miles. This is a full-time position with variable shifts and start times.

What you'll haul

• General freight, picked up and delivered across Western Canada

• You'll secure loads yourself using straps, chains and load bars, meeting load-securement rules

• Some runs may require hand-bombing (manual loading and unloading) and the use of tailgates, forklifts, pallet jacks, pump trucks or Moffetts

What the job involves

• Driving company equipment safely on regional Western Canada lanes

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections covering tires, brakes, lights and cargo securement, with issues reported to maintenance right away

• Keeping accurate e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork and incident reports

• Following hours-of-service rules and company safety policies

• Staying flexible for schedule changes, overtime, weekend or overnight work as operations require

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license, with at least 1 year of verifiable experience

• Bondable and legally able to work in Canada

• Clean CVOR and driver's abstract

• Recent commercial driving experience within the last year, including 1 year of driving across Canada

• Mountain driving experience and winter driving experience with commercial vehicles

• Comfortable with eLogs and all required inspection and delivery documentation

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs when needed

• Solid grasp of road safety rules, hours-of-service limits and proper load securing in all weather

• Good communication and customer service skills, with a safety-first mindset

• A plus if you've run specialized equipment like tailgates, forklifts, pallet jacks, pump trucks or Moffetts
