About this job
Our company is hiring Class 1 team drivers for cross-border runs between Canada and the United States, hauling dry van and reefer freight with new, dedicated team trucks.
Pay
- $0.80 per mile
- Typically works out to about $7,000–$8,000 per month
What you'll haul
- Dry van and temperature-controlled (reefer) loads, team-driven across Canada and the US
Requirements
- At least 1 year of verifiable Class 1 long-haul experience (open to discussing less experience)
- Valid Class 1 (BC) driver's licence
- Valid US visa or ability to legally enter the United States
- Clean driver abstract
- Able to drive long hours as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
What you'll do
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Keep accurate logs per NSC and FMCSA rules
- Communicate with dispatch on load status and scaling
- Deal professionally with shippers, receivers, and border officials
