About this job
Our company in Prince George, BC needs an experienced Class 1 Switch Driver for a steady A.M. shift. You'll run pickups and drop-offs at mining client sites and be home every day, with no long-haul work.
Schedule
- Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Start date as soon as possible
- Consistent, year-round work
What you'll do
- Drive Class 1 vehicles to pick up and deliver loads at mining client sites
- Help load and unload materials at the warehouse
- Keep delivery logs and paperwork accurate
- Follow safety rules and regulations at all times
- Do routine checks on your vehicle and power unit
- Deliver with strong customer service

Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license
- At least 1 year of local driving experience
- Good knowledge of traffic laws and safety standards
- Driver's abstract showing no driving-related criminal code convictions in the past 36 months, no more than 2 moving violations in the past 12 months, and no more than 3 in the past 36 months (counted from conviction date to today)
- Warehouse experience is a plus
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong English reading and writing skills
- Detail-oriented with a positive, team-focused attitude
