Class 1 Super B Flatbed Driver — Edmonton Based

Our company is looking for an experienced Class 1 Super B flat deck driver based in Edmonton. You'll run regional routes across BC, AB, SK and MB, hauling building materials like lumber, shingles and drywall for this growing western Canada carrier.

What you'll haul

• Super B flat deck equipment

• Building materials such as lumber, shingles and drywall, secured properly for the road

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver's license

• 2 to 3 years of experience driving Super B flat decks

• Hands-on experience loading lumber, shingles and drywall

• Comfortable with pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection reports, logbooks and bills of lading

• Clean driving record and drivers abstract, plus a basic security clearance

• Willing and able to travel long distances across BC, AB, SK and MB

• Must be able to reliably commute to Edmonton, AB, or relocate before starting

What you'll do

• Drive a Class 1 flatbed truck to get loads where they need to be, safely and on time

• Complete pre-trip inspections and keep accurate logs of hours and truck condition

• Stay in touch with dispatch and customers on delivery timing and any issues that come up

• Load and unload freight, including using a forklift when needed

• Secure building materials and other cargo carefully for transport

You should be organized, punctual, safety minded and a strong communicator who works well with others and delivers solid customer service.

Pay

This is a full-time, permanent position. Monthly pay has been listed in the $6,000 to $8,000 range; confirm current compensation when you apply.
