About this job
Our company in Sturgeon County, AB is looking for a full-time shunt driver to move trailers around the yard and support warehouse operations. You'll work Monday to Friday, handling dock moves, loading and basic equipment tasks.
Pay
- From $24.00 per hour
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, full-time
What you'll do
- Move trailers in and out of the loading docks using an automatic shunt truck
- Load and unload cargo, handling materials properly
- Run routine checks on the truck and flag any maintenance needs
- Operate a forklift or other heavy equipment for loading and unloading when needed
- Help out with warehouse tasks like order picking, shipping, receiving and inventory
- Handle minor vehicle repairs to keep equipment running
- Keep in touch with the warehouse supervisor and team on schedules, trailer moves and any issues
Requirements
- Class 1 licence required
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience
- Proven shunt truck driving experience
- Knowledge of freight handling and safety procedures
- Forklift experience strongly preferred
- Basic automotive repair knowledge is a plus
- Strong communication skills, organized, detail-oriented, able to work solo or with a team in a busy setting
