Class 1 Roll-off Truck Driver — $30.00–$35.00/hr

Our company in Kamloops, BC is looking for a Class 1 truck driver to run a roll-off truck, moving freight on short and long routes. You'll load, haul and deliver cargo while keeping safety and paperwork in order.

Pay

• $30.00-$35.00 per hour

• Expected hours: 45.0 per week

What you'll do

• Drive a Class 1 truck on local and longer routes, following traffic laws and safety rules

• Check the truck before and after each trip, looking over brakes, lights, tires and load security

• Load and unload cargo with a forklift or other equipment, making sure it's properly secured

• Keep records up to date, including delivery logs, inspection sheets and freight manifests

• Stay in touch with dispatch, warehouse staff and customers to line up pickup and delivery times

• Handle basic upkeep or minor repairs on the truck as needed

• Follow company policy and transportation regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with a clean driving record

• Able to operate a forklift to load and unload freight

• Experience moving freight safely and efficiently

• Comfortable working with heavy equipment for loading/unloading

• Basic mechanical know-how to handle small vehicle issues on the road or in the yard

• Good communication with coworkers and clients

• Able to work independently, stay organized, and keep pace in a busy environment
