Class 1 Owner Operator — Cross-Border Canada–U.S

Our company is looking for a Class 1 Owner Operator to run Canada–U.S. freight out of Calgary, AB. You'll work full-time, typically 4-5 days a week from Sunday through Thursday or Friday, with some weekend coverage and night driving possible.

What you'll do

• Haul freight safely across Canada-U.S. routes and handle pickups and deliveries on time

• Run tractor-trailer equipment following company and regulatory rules

• Do full pre-trip and post-trip checks (tires, brakes, lights, cargo securement) and flag issues to maintenance

• Keep accurate e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork and incident reports

• Follow hours-of-service rules and stay flexible for schedule changes, overtime, weekends or overnight trips

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with at least 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience

• Clean 5-year commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)

• Valid FAST card or TWIC card, plus legal eligibility to cross into the U.S.

• At least 1 year of cross-border driving experience

• Comfortable driving in mountain terrain and winter conditions

• Truck must be no older than 6 years

• Bondable and legally able to work in Canada

• Solid grasp of road safety rules, hours of service and load securement

• Able to complete eLogs and inspection/delivery paperwork accurately

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 75 lbs when needed

• Good communication and customer service skills with a safety-first mindset
