About this job
Our company in Fernie, BC is looking for two dependable truck drivers to move freight and goods around the Elk Valley and help out with winter operations. You'll need to be willing to relocate to the Elk Valley area for this full-time role.
Pay
- $28.00-$35.00 per hour, negotiable based on your skills and experience
What you'll do
- Drive trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver freight and cargo to assigned locations
- Check your vehicle before, during and after each trip to keep it safe and compliant
- Load and unload cargo, using a forklift or other equipment when needed
- Keep delivery paperwork accurate and stay in touch with dispatch
- Handle basic troubleshooting to keep your truck road-ready
- Follow traffic laws, safety rules and company procedures at all times
Requirements
- Class 1 License or Class 3 License is required
- Solid background driving commercial vehicles
- A clean driving history with a track record of safe, compliant driving
- Comfortable working with freight-handling equipment
- Experience with forklifts, heavy equipment or vehicle repair is a bonus
