Our company in Thorsby, AB is looking for a Class 1 driver to run tri-quad trucks and heavy equipment on oilfield sites. Expect a mix of local work and away-from-home stretches, hauling gravel, equipment and materials to job sites.
Pay
- $35.00-$45.00 per hour
What you'll do
- Operate tri-quad trucks and heavy equipment on oilfield locations, following safety rules
- Move freight, equipment and materials between sites on schedule
- Check your truck and equipment regularly, handling basic repairs on-site when needed
- Keep accurate records of trips, deliveries, maintenance and safety checks
- Spend extended periods away from home, coordinating logistics and deliveries in remote areas
- Work with the rest of the crew to keep operations safe and within environmental rules
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license with a clean driver's abstract
- Background in commercial driving in the oilfield or heavy industry
- H2S, First Aid and CSO tickets required
- Basic automotive troubleshooting and repair skills
- Comfortable working away from home for extended stretches with little supervision
- Strong focus on safety and environmental compliance
- Organized, with careful attention to record-keeping
- 3 years of oilfield experience, 3 years hauling equipment, and 3 years running gravel trucks and trailers are asked about in the application
