About this job
Our company in Edmonton, AB is looking for a Class 1 driver for night shift work, with start times that vary. You'll run a tractor-trailer hauling reefer freight, with occasional travel.
Pay
- $23.00–$26.00 per hour
What you'll haul
- Reefer (refrigerated) trailers
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license
- 3 years of Class 1 driving experience required
- 1 year of reefer experience required
- Fluent English required
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs when needed
- Open to traveling about 25% of the time
Responsibilities
- Pre-trip and post-trip inspections with reports filed
- Safe operation of the tractor-trailer under commercial driving rules
- Pickup and delivery of customer shipments, including loading/unloading
- Securing loads with straps or load bars
- Basic truck servicing (oil, fuel, radiator fluid)
- Completing paperwork, logs, and hours-of-service records
- Maintaining good customer relationships and reporting discrepancies to dispatch
