Our company in Calgary, AB is looking for an experienced long haul driver to run cross-border and cross-country routes into the USA, hauling dry van freight in automatic transmission tractor-trailers.

Pay

• From $70,600.89 per year

What you'll haul

• Dry van freight, mostly 53' trailers

• Some loads may involve refrigerated trailers or other trailer types

• Loading and unloading as needed

What you'll do

• Drive tractor-trailers safely over long distances on regional and national routes

• Keep accurate logs of hours, routes and deliveries per DOT rules

• Check your truck before and after each trip

• Stay on your assigned route, following traffic and safety rules

• Keep dispatch updated on your schedule and any route changes

• Make sure your load is secured properly

• Help plan routes for on-time delivery and good fuel use

Requirements

• Class 1 licence

• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience

• Clean driving record

• Background in long haul or route driving; experience with dry van freight is a plus, and experience with dump trucks or roll-off trucks is a bonus

• Knowledge of DOT compliance standards
