Class 1 Long Haul Truck Driver — Team/Convoy Driving, Surrey BC

Our company in Surrey, BC is looking for a long haul truck driver to join a two-person team or convoy. This is a permanent, full-time role at 35 hours per week, and training is available if you're new to the job.

What you'll do

• Drive straight or articulated trucks to move goods and materials, working as part of a two-person team or convoy

• Load and unload freight, including tarping loads and keeping cargo secure

• Check the truck's condition before, during and after trips, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage units and other equipment

• Handle brake adjustments, basic preventive maintenance and roadside repairs when needed

• Keep dispatch updated and log details like hours of service, distance driven, fuel use and cargo information

Requirements

• Class 1 or Class A driver's license, with a clean licence check

• High school diploma

• Comfortable with physically demanding work, including long periods of sitting

• Strong attention to detail, good judgement, flexibility, reliability and the ability to work well as part of a team

• No prior experience required - training is provided
