Class 1 Long Haul Truck Driver — $60,000–$100,000/Year

Our company in Edmonton, AB is looking for a Class 1 long-haul driver for northern routes, including runs past the 60th parallel. You'll move a mix of temperature-controlled and flatbed freight, with some stops for pickups and drop-offs along the way.

Pay

• $60,000-$100,000 per year

What you'll haul

• Reefer, heater and dry van loads, plus flatbed/deck freight

• You'll be responsible for tying down and inspecting deck loads during the trip

• Once certified, you'll handle dangerous goods paperwork and placarding

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license

• Clean driving record and no criminal history

• At least 3 years behind the wheel north of the 60th parallel

• Able to handle overnight driving

• Must pass a road test and a Driver Check screening

• Familiarity with the Alaska Hwy, Hwy 97 and winter/northern road conditions

• WHMIS and Dangerous Goods certification supplied by the company

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

• Maintain accurate logs and inspection paperwork

• Stay in contact with long-haul dispatch to coordinate your routes

• Follow highway safety rules, including chaining up when conditions call for it
