Class 1 Long Haul Flatbed/Stepdeck Driver — $6,500-$8,500/Month

Our company Inc. is looking for a Class 1 long haul driver to run flatbed and stepdeck loads. This is a full-time, permanent, on-the-road position.

Pay

• $6,500.00 to $8,500.00 per month

What you'll haul

• Flatbed and stepdeck freight, hauled to assigned delivery points

What the job involves

• Driving a commercial truck safely to get goods where they need to go

• Loading and unloading freight, using a forklift or other equipment when needed

• Checking the truck regularly and keeping it in safe, working order

• Flagging any mechanical problems or incidents right away

• Sticking to traffic laws, safety rules and company procedures on every run

• Keeping accurate logs of deliveries, miles driven and fuel used

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 licence with a clean driving history

• Forklift or other heavy equipment experience is a plus

• Some automotive repair or maintenance knowledge is helpful

• Comfortable lifting heavy items and handling the physical side of freight handling

• Good at managing time and hitting delivery windows

• Clear communicator with customers and coworkers
