Class 1 Livestock Driver — Night Shift — Pay Per Load

Our company, a poultry industry group with hatcheries and cooking facilities across Canada, needs a Class 1 driver for night shift work hauling live animals to its Northern Alberta facilities. This role runs on a pay-per-load basis and involves working independently with limited supervision.

What you'll haul

• Live animals such as poultry or cattle, moving from farms to Northern Alberta facilities

• No border crossing trips involved

Responsibilities

• Handle livestock humanely and watch for their welfare throughout the trip, stepping in if problems arise

• Run pre-trip and post-trip checks on your truck and trailer

• Keep your equipment clean and follow biosecurity practices

• Fill out transport logs and delivery paperwork accurately

• Stay in contact with farm staff, dispatch and facility teams

Pay

Paid per load.

Requirements

• Class 1 license held for at least 3 years, with air brake (Q) endorsement

• A clean Commercial Driver's Abstract, printed within the last 30 days

• Resume showing at least 3 years of relevant experience, plus references

• Familiarity with provincial/federal daily driver logs

• Maintenance or heavy-duty repair background is a plus

• Livestock hauling experience is a plus

• Strong work ethic and positive outlook

• Comfortable with day-to-day duties under the National Safety Code for commercial vehicles, with good time management and accountability
