About this job
Our company Distribution Canada Corp. is hiring a Class 1 driver based out of Calgary, Alberta to handle linehaul and local freight runs across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia. You'll drive company-owned trucks and trailers, work 5 days a week on 8-10 hour shifts, and be home-based in Calgary.
Pay
- $28.00 per hour
- Weekly direct deposit
What you'll haul
- Linehaul transportation and local pickups and deliveries throughout AB, SK, and BC
- Trailer staging, yard moves, and dock-related duties
Schedule
- Full-time, permanent, 5 days per week
- 8-10 hour shifts, with flexible start and finish times
- Additional hours possible depending on business needs
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience driving heavy commercial trucks
- Willing to travel throughout AB, SK, and BC
- Comfortable with ELDs and familiar with load securement and HOS rules
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Smartphone with a data plan
- Must pass a criminal record check and company road test
