About this job
Our company is hiring experienced Class 1 truck drivers for its van fleet based near Winnipeg. You'll run steady, high-volume long-haul routes averaging 10,000 to 11,000 miles per month, with resets at home most weeks.
Routes
- Most miles (70%+) are within Canada, with some trips into the US
- Frequent lanes between Winnipeg and Ontario (Toronto and southern Ontario)
- Mountain runs into British Columbia's Lower Mainland
What you'll do
- Drive safely through varying weather and winter road conditions
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow traffic laws and company safety procedures
- Stay in contact with dispatch to keep deliveries on schedule
- Keep accurate e-logs, mileage records, and inspection paperwork
Requirements
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- At least 1 year of mountain driving, including a full winter season
- Valid Class 1 license with a clean record
- Comfortable using electronic logging devices
- Freight hauling background is a plus
- Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful
Pay
Up to $100,000 per year.
