Class 1 Heavy Haul / Winch Tractor Driver — From $40/hr

Our company is expanding its heavy haul and winch tractor fleet and needs seasoned Class 1 drivers for project work spanning Canada and the US. You'd be based out of Acheson, Alberta, moving oversized and specialized loads on lowbeds and multi-axle rigs.

Pay

• Starts at $40.00 per hour, with final compensation set according to your experience and qualifications

• Extra bonuses apply for heavy haul and jeep/booster work

What you'll haul

• Oversized freight and heavy equipment on lowbed and specialized trailer setups

• Winching of skidded equipment on and off trailers

• Jeep, booster, and multi-axle trailer configurations as jobs require

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy haul and winch tractor rigs safely

• Secure and transport oversized loads according to permits and approved routes

• Handle pre- and post-trip inspections, electronic logs, bills of lading, and hazard assessments

• Coordinate with dispatch, customers, escorts, and job site staff

• Keep your assigned truck clean and well maintained

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 licence with a clean abstract

• About 2 years of heavy haul experience preferred, ideally with lowbeds or winch tractors

• Comfortable assessing ground conditions and load securement before each job

• Experience with jeeps, boosters, multi-axle, or perimeter frame trailers is a plus

• Able to travel and work across the Canada-US border, and be away from home as assignments require
