Class 1 Heavy Haul Truck Driver — $31–$58/hr

Our company needs Class 1 Heavy Haul Drivers to run oversized and specialized loads throughout Canada and the U.S. Routes include trips up to Fort McMurray, remote northern destinations, and cross-border hauls. You'll be behind the wheel of heavy-haul and winch trucks, taking care of rigging, tie-downs, inspections, and the paperwork that goes with it.

Pay

• $31.00 to $58.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Oversized and specialized (OD/OS) freight, moved with heavy-haul and winch equipment

What the job involves

• Staying compliant with Transport Canada and U.S. DOT rules

• Rigging and securing loads properly with the right safety gear

• Running pre-trip and basic mechanical checks

• Keeping logs current along with customs forms and trip records

• Staying in touch with dispatch, customers, and people on site

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license

• A clean 3-year commercial driving abstract, with no more than 3 minor convictions and no major ones

• At least 3 years behind the wheel in commercial driving

• Must be able to clear drug and alcohol screening

• Comfortable handling cross-border runs and customs steps

• Good mechanical sense and able to troubleshoot issues on the road

• Ready for heavy travel and a schedule that shifts as needed
