Class 1 Heavy Construction Transport Driver — $40.00-$45.00/hr

Our company in Stony Plain, AB is looking for a Class 1 driver to haul construction equipment, materials and freight to job sites. You'll play a key part in keeping large construction projects moving, from loading to delivery.

What you'll do

• Drive Class 1 heavy trucks, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds, over a variety of routes and road conditions

• Haul construction materials, heavy equipment and freight on time while following traffic laws and safety rules

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections

• Load and unload freight, using a forklift or crane when the job calls for it

• Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel use and vehicle maintenance

• Stay in contact with dispatch, site managers and your team to coordinate schedules and delivery needs

• Handle minor repairs or troubleshooting to keep your truck running well

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license with a clean record

• Background in commercial driving, heavy equipment work or freight hauling in construction

• Comfortable operating a forklift for safe loading and unloading

• Experience with cranes or loaders is a plus

• Basic mechanical know-how for routine checks and troubleshooting

• Solid grasp of safety practices for heavy vehicle operation

• Jeep and booster experience is an asset

• Wheeler experience is an asset

$40.00-$45.00 per hour
