Our company in Saskatoon, SK is looking for a Class 1 truck driver to haul flatbed freight on local and long-distance routes.
Pay
- $0.72 per mile on flatbed work
- Listed pay range of $27.10-$35.00 per hour
What you'll haul
- Flatbed freight, loaded and unloaded with equipment such as forklifts when needed
Responsibilities
- Drive a Class 1 commercial truck on assigned routes, following traffic laws and safety rules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks covering brakes, lights, tires and other key systems
- Secure and handle cargo properly during loading and unloading
- Keep accurate paperwork, including delivery logs, freight manifests and inspection records
- Stay in contact with dispatch, clients and coworkers to keep schedules on track and sort out any issues
- Handle basic troubleshooting or repairs to keep the truck running well
- Operate heavy equipment safely for loading and unloading tasks
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license with a clean driving history
- Solid background in commercial driving and freight hauling
- Comfortable operating a forklift and other loading equipment
- Familiarity with heavy equipment use and basic vehicle repair
- Able to carry out detailed inspections and spot maintenance issues
- Good communication skills and a safety-first, customer-focused mindset
- Physically able to lift and move freight and work outdoors in different weather
