About this job
Our company, based in Leduc, AB, is looking for Class 1 flatbed drivers for full-time, permanent long haul work. The company was started by a driver and says it values safe, professional work over prior open-deck experience, though that experience is a plus.
Pay
- $30 – $37 / hour
- 40 hrs / week
What you'll haul
- Open-deck / flatbed loads, including tarping and securing cargo
Responsibilities
- Check tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment before and during trips
- Handle brake adjustments, preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs
- Complete pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections
- Log cargo details, hours of service, mileage and fuel use
- Drive safely through mountain terrain and represent the company professionally with customers
Requirements
- Class 1 license
- Open-deck experience is a plus, not mandatory
- Right attitude and commitment to doing the job safely
