Class 1 Dump Truck Driver — $27–$33/hr

This is a full-time, permanent local driving role hauling dirt, sand, and gravel with a tandem dump truck or pony/transfer trailer setup, based out of a yard at 192 St and 80 Ave in Surrey. You'll work 40-50 hours a week and need to live locally.

Pay

• $27.00-$33.00 per hour, with the rate set according to your experience level

What you'll haul

• Materials such as dirt, sand, and gravel, mostly on local runs

Requirements

• Class 1 licence with Air Brake endorsement

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience running a dump truck and pony trailer

• High school education is a plus but not mandatory

• Comfortable with basic English; knowing Punjabi is a bonus

• Must reside in the local area and be available to start right away

What you'll do

• Drive the tandem dump truck or pony/transfer trailer to drop off loads

• Use levers or a crank to tip the box and release the load

• Shovel out the truck box when needed

• Check the vehicle before, during, and after each trip, watching equipment condition and how it's loaded

• Keep an eye on how the truck is running mechanically

• Fill out a log book for every trip

• Handle brake adjustments as required
