Class 1 Driver / Production Worker — $25.00/hr

Our company, a metal roofing and siding manufacturer, needs a full-time Class 1 driver to split time between making deliveries and working on the production floor at their Regina, SK area location.

What you'll do

• Drive tractor-trailers, long-combination vehicles and straight trucks over 4,500 kg to move goods over long distances

• Plan your routes, handle trip logistics and fill out shipping paperwork

• Check your vehicle before, during and after each trip, covering tires, brakes, lights and refrigeration units

• Strap down and secure loads according to safety rules

• Keep electronic logs updated with cargo info, hours of service, mileage and fuel

• Stay in touch with dispatch, other drivers and customers through onboard systems

• Handle minor roadside fixes and troubleshooting when needed

• Load and unload trucks, including coil stock and raw materials bound for production

• Run material-handling and production equipment

• Help assemble materials and equipment on the production side

• Check finished products and machinery for defects and quality issues

• Keep up with production deadlines during your shift

Pay

Starting at $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license

• Clean driving history (a Driver's Abstract will be requested if you're interviewed)

• Forklift certification is a plus, not required

• Production experience is preferred

• Comfortable working independently

• Able to stand or sit for extended stretches during a shift
