About this job
Our company in Kelowna, BC is looking for a Class 1 driver to move freight between warehouses, distribution centers and customer sites. You'll handle the full trip from inspections to delivery paperwork.
Pay
- From $325.00 per day
What you'll do
- Drive Class 1 commercial trucks on various routes, following traffic laws and safety rules
- Move freight between distribution centers, warehouses and customer locations
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks on brakes, lights, tires and other key systems
- Load and unload freight, using a forklift or other equipment when needed, and secure it properly
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage and inspections
- Stay in touch with dispatch and warehouse staff to coordinate schedules and sort out any problems
- Handle basic repairs or troubleshooting to keep the truck running well
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (or equivalent) license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving heavy trucks commercially
- Comfortable operating a forklift and handling freight
- Understanding of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures
- Basic mechanical skills for routine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Able to follow detailed instructions and stick to safety standards
