About this job
Our company, a civil and oilfield construction contractor working across Alberta and Northern BC, is looking for experienced Class 1 drivers based out of Grande Prairie, AB. The ideal candidate has hauled heavy equipment and gravel before and is comfortable working on construction and oilfield sites.
Pay
- $34.00-$40.00 per hour
What you'll haul
- Heavy equipment, gravel and other materials to and from job sites
- Tractor-trailer combinations including equipment trailers and gravel trucks
Responsibilities
- Load, secure, transport and unload heavy equipment safely
- Handle pre-trip inspections, logbooks and other paperwork
- Check and maintain your vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues
- Stay in regular contact with dispatch
- Be ready to travel out of town and work extended hours when needed
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence and a clean driver's abstract
- Experience hauling heavy equipment and gravel is strongly preferred
- Background in oil and gas or civil construction trucking
- Current Standard First Aid and H2S tickets (training may be available for the right person)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
